Police psychics have been used throughout the world with varying degrees of success. Police psychic info is often controversial but it is a very interesting subject.

Psychic info has been around since ancient times and is very popular today. Some use psychic info that comes from astrology and other people say they get their psychic info from spirit guides. There are those who use dowsing rods and pendulums. Still others claim to get psychic info from a technique called psychometry. In this practice psychic info is supplied from objects that are connected to a certain person.

Other techniques involve clairvoyance, reading people's auras and even palm reading. The psychic info gathered from any of these practices does not seem to be very successful.

Psychics often seem to be more successful than they really are because of several things:

1. There are psychics who exaggerate their success stories. Some even say the case was a success when it was just the opposite.

2. Some psychics gather their information in very ordinary ways and then claim that it was really psychic info. There are psychics who have impersonated police to get information and then claimed it was psychic info.

3. Psychics can be very vague. When vague generalities are used by psychics it may seem that they knew more than they did.

4. Psychics sometimes have faulty recollections of what was really said.

Having said all of the above, there is no scientific evidence that psychic info has ever solved a crime.

Psychic info still remains an interesting subject, a subject that at least in crime solving is fascinating at best.
